The DOGE 400 GT was sold to an Italian buyer who was impressed by the innovative project and the shipyard’s construction capabilities. OCEANKING has three lines of steel ships: DOGE, EXPLORER and CUSTOM BUILT.
Created by Alessandro Lottici at Design aLOT Studio, the DOGE 400 GT is the first DOGE range sold to an Italian buyer, who was impressed by the innovative project and the shipyard’s construction capabilities.
The design of the DOGE 400 GT remains true to an innovative and bold philosophy, and includes a 100% custom-built exterior with numerous cutting-edge features and contemporary lines.
The DOGE 400 GT is a steel ship, proving its strength and honouring the origin and philosophy of the shipyard, whilst stripping away the commercial “feel” of the Explorers launched to date.
Construction on the ship began in October and is expected to be completed in 20 months.
The DOGE 400 GT is a full displacement vessel with <500 GT, bulbous bow, steel hull and aluminium superstructures, measuring 39.8 metres in length and 8.5 metres wide. It is powered by two 1450-HP MAN V12 engines and has 55,000 litres of fuel capacity for a guaranteed range of 5,000 miles, making it possible to navigate safely throughout a new world to be discovered. This is an Explorer with cleaner decks and a hidden tender in the garage. It has a large beach club, a sky lounge that opens up 270° to ensure maximum comfort for guests. The DOGE range includes three additional models: 350, 400 and 450, varying from 35 to 45 metres, and all created by Design aLOT Studio.
